Professional experience
When Delia’s not walking up mountains, she’s skiing down them. Having bagged over 80 Munros, she would love to go on and conquer the rest.
Delia graduated in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Bristol and for a short while was a patent researcher. She then trained as a business analyst and moved into the insurance industry, where she gained her professional ACII qualification.
A number of career moves later she moved into consultancy and sales, driving strategic Business Intelligence solutions across channels.
In 1997 she co-founded a Business Intelligence practice. Her clients ranged from SMEs to national and global brands such as Tesco, First Choice Holidays, RSA, Barclays Capital, Greene King and Yell. From there she went on to help other SMEs with strategy and planning, and implementing solutions for best practice and growth.
In 2014 Delia founded Business Clan. She realised there was a gap in the market for a one-stop-shop for small businesses supported by a team of professionals with key expertise and the ability to implement across strategy, planning, HR, marketing, IT, web design and finance.
Since founding Business Clan, Delia actively works in and oversees key areas of the company. Whilst mainly focusing on helping our clients with their business strategy and teaching them how to get the most out of their IT tools and infrastructure, Delia also facilitates GDPR workshops and commercial services so that our clients can ensure they are compliant with the law.
With proven expertise in business integration, financial management, and implementing best practice for sustainable growth, Delia now specialises in accelerating the development of small and medium sized businesses.
Delia is highly regarded in the business community and has won many prestigious awards, including the FSB Employer of the Year award. She is a Director of the Merton Chamber of Commerce and an Enterprise Nation UK Top Adviser.
